RGCL welcomes new PhD student Omid Rohanian to the fold

Hi my name is Omid Rohanian and I arrived in Wolverhampton in December 2016 from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, where I received my MSc in Computational Linguistics.

I am now part of the Research Group in Computational Linguistics at University of Wolverhampton and about to embark on my PhD studies. At the time of writing this my research concept is based around NLP approaches in estimating text difficulty. The exact details and the methodologies are yet to be determined however, I’m open to improve on this over time.

Coming from Iran my first impression of the UK in December is that the weather is peculiar and I think I’ll need some time to adapt to the lack of direct sunshine!

At this moment in time I’m exploring the City of Wolverhampton and trying to integrate into the community and develop a social circle. Let’s see what the future brings!
