Welcome!
The forthcoming international conference ‘Computational and Corpus-based Phraseology – recent advances and interdisciplinary approaches’ will take place in London on 13 and 14 November, 2017.
The conference will focus on interdisciplinary approaches to phraseology and will invite submissions on a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to: corpus-based, psycholinguistic and cognitive approaches to the study of phraseology, the computational treatment of multi-word expressions, and practical applications in translation, lexicography and language learning , teaching and assessment.
The forthcoming international conference ‘Computational and Corpus-based Phraseology – Recent advances and interdisciplinary approaches’ is jointly organised by the European Association for Phraseology EUROPHRAS, the University of Wolverhampton (Research Institute of Information and Language Processing) and Association for Computational Linguistics – Bulgaria. The official sponsors of the conference are Europhras, Sketch Engine, the European Language Resources Association (ELRA) and the University of Wolverhampton.
EUROPHRAS 2017 will take place at the Strand Palace Hotel, in the heart of London’s West End. Many of the city’s major tourist attractions, shops, businesses, government buildings and entertainment venues are concentrated in the area. The venue is also within walking distance of Covent Garden (a popular shopping and tourist destination) and the Royal Opera House. The Embankment, a path which runs along the River Thames, is also a short walk from the Strand, and the bustling Southbank area is located across the water. Things to do in the area.
